The Receptionist/Front Desk Concierge is the most important customer service position at Norumbega Point at Weston. The position requires professional pose and calm, courteous, compassionate interactions in sometimes highly emotionally charged situations. It is the first priority of the position to ensure that residents and visitors have a pleasant experience during their stay/visit. In addition to performing basic reception duties, the Concierge also facilitates many services offered to residents, from ordering dinner delivery, scheduling transportation to doctor’s appointments, etc. On a daily basis, the Concierge records a census of all residents. The Concierge works with various departments of the community to ensure that residents receive timely and appropriate services. Routinely, the Concierge serves as building security. The ideal candidate has a professional appearance, an excellent command of the English language, ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks, and is computer savvy. There are several part-time positions, ideal for working college students evenings/weekends or mother’s hours for parents with school age children. This is an hourly position starting at 10.50/hour.
The Wellness Director is a registered nurse with experience within Assisted Living and/or Home Healthcare. The Wellness Director is responsible for working with the Executive Director, Resident Service Coordinator, and Resident Services staff for service planning/staffing to meet resident needs and to ensure efficient/profitable operation. He/she will direct and coordinate appropriate healthcare services, as well as supervise, train and orient the resident care staff (certified nursing assistants, home health aides, and companions). He/she is also responsible for dealing with families and physicians as it relates to changing health conditions, cognition or emergency response and communicating this information for inclusion in care planning and staff scheduling to meet residents’ needs. The ideal candidate is computer literate in word processing and database software, has knowledge of current state and federal regulations, and is familiar with community elder resources. The environment can be fast-paced and sometimes emotionally charged when dealing with staff, families and residents. It requires effective management of time and schedule constraints, interpersonal communications and “customer” service demands. The Wellness Director may be required to travel to conduct assessments. Requires some evening/weekend work and on-call coverage.
