Books as Inspiration for our Art Works

The Gallery at Norumbega Point in Weston is pleased to announce an exhibition of art works by Grade 3 students at Country School in Weston. The exhibition is on view in the Gallery at Norumbega Point from January 24th through March 2, 2012. Created under the guidance of art teacher Colleen Lucas, the exhibit features student created artwork in response to books they read in class. The Gallery hosts a variety of mediums including drawings, paintings, bas reliefs, sculptures, collages and murals. The artists were inspired by the works of several award winning authors including Lois Ehlert, Jacqueline Briggs Martin and Jane Yolen.



There will be a reception and celebration of the children’s art works on Tuesday, February 28th from 3:00p.m. To 4:00 pm. The Country School student chorus, under the direction of music teacher, Susan Osborn will provide entertainment with a program of songs expanding upon the exhibition theme. The public is invited at no charge.
